What’s In a Name?
Names are so important to people, businesses and products. How did you come up with your business name? Posting over at Insights Group today, I discuss some things to consider when choosing a business or product name.
When you were born (or probably before), your parents considered many different names for you. They thought about how the names flowed together, what meaning they had, and how they could be abused on the playground. There may even be some family names or people in the family they wanted to name you after. Names are very important. In the case of a person’s name, it (usually) sticks with them forever. They may get nicknames later on in life, but their name will still identify them to the world. – What’s In a Name? – Sarah Worsham – Insights Group
I hope you’ll join me for the rest of the post. I’d love to hear how you came up with your business name.

It Only Takes One Person to Ruin Your Customer Service (or Save it)
Your company’s customer service can be ruined (or saved) by just one person. Because it’s so easy for customers to communicate their experiences with other customers (and potential customers), any bad experience can be multiplied a hundredfold. Here’s an example:
I’m a huge fan of J.Jill clothes, mostly because they actually offer pants for us Amazons (tall), but also because I like their styles and service. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years (when will everyone offer tall pants?) and have had exceptional customer service both online and in their retail locations. Until Tuesday.
