Sometimes companies get a little crazy about who links to their stuff, but linking is really the power of the web and without it, we’d just have boring text on a page. When someone links to your site, they’re a referrer in analytics terms – they’re referring people to your site. Sometimes this is done as a way of using your content or services for their own benefit, but if people have to get to your site to see that content or use the service, the referrer is sending people to your site.
