Well, two problems actually, but let’s take them one at a time. The biggest problem for me is that I have three different identities as far as Google is concerned – and they all have a different Google Profile with a different gmail address and it’s own login. I have one personal gmail account and two business Apps accounts and there’s no way to consolidate them. So how do people know where to connect with me on Google’s systems? How do I manage different identities and who gets what information?

Are URL Shorteners & Social Media Sharing Messing Up Statistics?
Twitter’s 140 character limit brought URL shorteners (like bit.ly, ow,ly, etc.) into the limelight. Now, URL shorteners are commonplace – many services and applications embed their functionality (TweetDeck, for example), and even Google & Facebook have come out with their own shorteners (goo.gl and fb.me). A lot of websites and analytics programs rely on variables included in the URL to know more information about where a person came from (what site referred them). When an URL is shortened and then shared across social media sites, does that mess up the statistics? Does Google Analytics, for example, know where someone came from when a URL which includes extra information is shared on Twitter?

Facebook or Google ads? It really depends…
There’s been a lot of talk lately about whether companies should advertise using Facebook ads or Google ads. I think that, as with any marketing or advertising decision, it depends. It depends on who you’re trying to reach with what message and what marketing objective.
