Google announced via Twitter, that public status updates from Facebook are now included in the search engine’s real-time search feature. That means the largest social network in the world is getting play in Google’s real-time search alongside Twitter, MySpace, and others.- Your Facebook Page is in Google’s Real-Time Results Now (WebProNews)

While only updates for pages are showing up right now, Facebook’s status as the major social network means that what happens there will have a big play in search results for companies.  May be time to figure out how to better use Facebook pages…

Ron and his team ran some A/B testing online that compared a traditional Web form layout with a narrative “Mad Libs” format. In Vast.com’s testing, Mad Libs style forms increased conversion across the board by 25-40%. – “Mad Libs” Style Form Increases Conversion 25-40% (LukeW)

This is fascinating.  If you stop to think about it, it makes sense, though.  People have an easier time reading things meant for people than things meant for computers.  I love to see new ways (new old ways) to design things on the web to make them easier (and better conversions doesn’t hurt either).  I think I’m going to try this on a few of our sites too…

Twitter is relatively new so there are always new ways to use it.  Chris Penn has some interesting ideas that are worth a try.
