You may think improving your website or your point of sale system or even your after-sales service will help increase your sales. They most likely will. But there usually are more places that customers (and potential customers) interact with your brand (touchpoints). Help Mothers & Girls – Laptops for Ladies
Girls in Tech Detroit (I’m on the board) is running a charity drive, Laptops for Ladies, this holiday season to collect laptops for mothers at Lighthouse and girls in the Detroit Public Schools District via Reality Check Detroit. Our goal is to inspire these ladies to see the value in literacy, art and technology, as well help them to get the skills they need to have rewarding and sustainable professional careers.
If you have any used or new laptops you’d consider donating, there are drop-off locations throughout metro Detroit. All laptops are completely erased and re-imaged with a fresh operating system.
If you don’t have a used laptop, but would still like to help, please consider giving a charitable donation to help with the purchase of laptops.
Lighthouse and Reality Check Detroit are non-profit organizations and all donations are tax deductible.
Thanks for your help!
Thank you!
Robust Websites Possible with WordPress
WordPress is much more than a blogging application. It can provide very robust content management capabilities and it can be customized to meet a wide variety of business needs. Mango Languages, who is a client, just re-launched their website on WordPress. Their site really shows the flexibility and abilities that WordPress provides. WordPress is free and is constantly being updated and expanded. The look and feel can be customized with pre-existing templates or with your own. The functionality can be extended with plugins (paid and free). It really is an amazing content management system, and I highly recommend taking a look at it if you’d like to have some control over updating the content on your website with an easy-to-use editor.

How P&G Designed Success with the Old Spice Guy Campaign
Proctor & Gamble (P&G) came to the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan about their recently successful Old Spice guy campaign. These thoughts were gleaned from that presentation.
The success of the Old Spice Guy campaign was no fluke. P&G carefully crafted the campaign to reach a specific market segment with an engaging message. The knew who their competitors were, as well as why people bought those products and their own. They also knew what attributes made their product stand out. Once they identified the segment that they wanted to reach, they chose the attributes of their product that were important to those people and reached out in a way that successfully engaged their target audience.
